Even an app exception needs justification
Microsoft notes risks in both app exceptions and open ports, generally preferring a necessary known-app exception over a persistent port opening. This guide gives no universal port list or claim that Yunbao requires inbound access.
Start from an explicit message
- Save the system message and time with user details redacted and distinguish it from a website pop-up.
- Check official download provenance and the installed program path rather than allowing an unknown file with a similar name.
- Contact the administrator on managed devices. On personal devices, review the specific rule and network scope only with an explicit block and confirmed support need.
- Make only a necessary reversible change; do not disable the firewall or open every network and port.
- Retest on the same network and route, record before and after, and undo a temporary change if it does not help.
Connection failures have other causes
An allow rule does not prove a node is reachable, and an open port does not verify protocol or account access. Separate system messages, client errors and times without presenting a rule change as a guaranteed repair.
